Ruth Gayle Stephenson Stubbs, 77, of Medesto, Calif., died Dec. 22 at Northwest Medical Center at Springdale. She was born Sept. 30, 1925, at Los Angeles to George W. and Eugenia Bogy Stephenson.

She was a member at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Modesto, Calif., and St. Joseph Catholic Church at Fayetteville.

She was preceded in death by one son, Guy Sterling Stubbs.

Survivors include four sons, Stephen H. Stubbs of Hood River, Ore., Robert S. Stubbs of Phoenix, Stacy I. Stubbs of Garden Grove, Calif., and Gregory S. Stubbs of Seattle; two daughters, Lynn Leatherman of Medesto, Calif, and Marian Braswell of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be 5:30 p.m. Jan. 8 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Fayetteville.

Cremation was by Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
