December 28, 1938 - February 12, 2019
Jowea Jeffers Blacksher, age 80, of Springfield, MO, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born December 28, 1938, in Warren, AR, a daughter of the late William Thomas Jeffers and Katie Hill Jeffers. Jowea was retired from the Springfield News Leader and a Baptist. Also preceding her in death was a son Mike Alderman, a brother William Thomas Jeffers, Jr, sisters Margaret Jeffers Glosson, and Katie Elizabeth Jeffers, and a grandchild Kelsi Blacksher.
Survivors are one daughter Karen Blacksher of Springfield, MO. Four grandchildren Megan Blacksher, Matthew Blacksher, Ryan Alderman, and Maylissa Alderman Russell. Two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, at Moseley Cemetery with Rev. Russell Rhoden officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer's Funeral Home.
