Ray E. Gorton, 53, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was owner and operator of Communication Central and a member of Fianna Hills Baptist Church. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated following the service. He is survived by his wife, Linda; three daughters, Candace Mumme of Springdale, Emily Satterfield of Plano, Texas, and Jenny Humble of Fort Smith; two sons, Nic Gorton and Jeremy Lively, both of Fort Smith; his father, Dewey Gorton of Muskogee, Okla.; a brother, Jerry Gorton of Wainwright, Okla.; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Smith, Phil White, Leonard Wilhelm, Rick Stewart, Walker Collins and Freddie Shelton.
