Joshua Kenneth Christopher Ashley-Pauley, 20, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ and the communion of Saints on May 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Ruth Ashley, Grandfather Phillip Pauley, Uncle James Barbee, Aunt Billie Sue Barbee, and Aunt Debra Woodwall.
Joshua was an active member and altar server at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a lifeguard at Hendrix College, a sophomore and student worker at UCA, and an up and coming entrepreneur. Joshua was also a scout member of troop 78 of Conway. He was a great artist and athlete of the sports of, soccer, basketball, baseball, cross country, football, long boarding, wrestling, and a two sport varsity letterman, and Captain of his Conway High School soccer team. Joshua was a collector of art, poetry, hearts, smiles, and love. He was a very compassionate, empathetic, sensitive individual, who embraced friends everywhere and planted gardens where ever he was.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Kenneth Martin Ashley-Pauley and Kimberly Ann (Whitworth) Ashley-Pauley, brother, Justin "Bo" Ashley-Pauley, two sisters, Kaitlin Ashley-Pauley and Courtney Ashley-Pauley, all of Conway, his Grandmother Bonnie McCloskey and husband Edward, Grandfather Theodore Whitworth and his wife Barbara, Aunt Jill Whitworth, his very special friend, Hannah, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from all over the country.
A celebration of Joshua's life will begin Sunday evening May 18th, with a vigil and visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 College Ave, Conway, AR at 7:00 p.m. We will celebrate The Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, followed by Inurnment at St. Joseph Columbarium. The family requests that at both the Vigil and Mass everyone wear some shade of pink in honor of Joshua. May God Bless whomever Joshua may have touched in his life.
