Bertalan "Al" Michael Erdely, 95, of Conway, died Saturday, July 29, 2006.

He was born September 28, 1910 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Bertalan Erdely and Esther Kiss Erdely.

He was a 3rd degree Mason, a member of Verhovay Hungarian Fraternal organization and an avid golfer. He worked for A and P Food Company in Chicago for forty-four years, then worked as a sales rep for R. W. Mitchell Food Brokerage for twelve years.

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Larson and Husband Dr. David Larson of Conway; granddaughter, Liz Larson and partner, Tammy Tucker; three great grandchildren, Jolyon Larson, Katie Larson and Olivia Larson, his niece Katie Bonder of South Bend, IN; cousin, William Borbas of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Elizabeth Szalanczy Erdely, a sister, Szarain Erdely Bonder, two nephews, Richard and Robert Bonder.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5th at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway with Rev. Peggy Hays officiating.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 1st at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Memorials may be made to the Hungarian Calvin Reformed Church in Lynwood, Illinois, St. Peters Episcopal Church CSR Food Pantry in Conway or Conway Montessori School Jeanna Drive and Reedy Road in Conway, AR.
