Shawn Golston, 53, of Cody, formerly of California, passed away from heart failure at his home on May 6, 2014.
Shawn was bigger than life. He made his wife Crystal’s circle of life complete. Her heart weeps with sadness and loneliness. She reflects on 30 years of marriage to this wonderful man, “God gave me a gift when I met my husband Shawn. Even after 30 years, he made me feel like a bride.”
Taylor and Shane Golston were born to this marriage, and they were the light that shined in Shawn’s eyes. He welcomed each boy into the world with happiness and love in his heart. They brought him smiles as they would run into his arms after a long day’s work.
When Taylor married his soulmate Nicole, Shawn’s heart beamed with pride. When his first granddaughter Jordan was born, Shawn felt an overwhelming joy.
Shawn was a hard working, loyal man and shared words of wisdom with his sons, “Your word is your bond.”
Shawn was met in heaven by his grandmother Minnes Estes Jones. He feels no more pain, there is no more suffering. Shawn has Jesus to hold him strong.
Shawn was a guardian angel to his family here and they will all miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife Crystal, his sons Shane Golston of Cody, Wyo., and Taylor (Nicole) Golston of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., his father Woody (Rita) Golston of Malvern, Ark., mother Virginia (Gus) Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., father-in-law Richard White of Cody, sisters Desirre Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., Deanielle Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., Shelly DeLeon of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., aunt Karen Brown of Topeka, Kan., nieces Brandy Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., Gia Pando of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., and his precious granddaughter Jordan Noel Golston.
Memorial services will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2 p.m.
