Memorial Services for Donald Lee Kerns of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:30 PM, Monday, December 12, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Reverend Marillyn Schultz officiating.

Donald passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at his residence, at the age of 73. He was born March 14, 1938, in Rolfe, Iowa, the son of Fred and Gertie Peterson Kerns. He married Barbara Hanson on December 27, 1959, at Alta, Iowa and was a farmer and car salesman. Donald lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1992 moving from Iowa. He was a lifetime Lutheran and member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Mountain Home.

Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Debra (Kurt) Blum of Fort Collins, CO; son, Jason (Laurie) Kerns of Henderson, NV; brother, James (Carol) Kerns of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Virginia Kerns of Midway, AR; 7 grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Adrianne and Austin Blum, Katherine, Candace and Christopher Kerns and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William.

Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Food Pantry.

Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
