B.W. Dykes, 85 of Springdale, AR. went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 2, 2020 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born May 3, 1935 in Oklahoma City, OK. to Burlen and Lorena (Kerr) Dykes. BW graduated from Tulsa Daniel Webster High School and attended Tulsa University. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company and Southwestern Bell Telephone, prior to selling real estate for Lindsay and Assoc. in Fayetteville. After which he started his own real estate company, Dykes Bassett Mix and Associates in 1989. He was known for his giving heart, his encouraging spirit, and for touching the lives of thousands of people throughout his lifetime. B.W. was an avid sports fan and coached numerous youth and high school sports teams over the years. His favorite hobbies were watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participate in sports and activities. Some of his most cherished memories were spent in the mountains of Colorado with friends and family. He was active in many churches throughout his life and loved the Lord with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul Dykes. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue Dykes, his daughter, Kim McConnell and husband Brent of Rogers, AR, son Jimmy Dykes and wife Tiffany of Springdale, AR, his grandchildren, Kara Simpson of Rogers, AR, Matt Simpson and wife Jenny of California, and Kennedy Dykes of Springdale, AR. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Aviana, Isaac, Isaiah, and Asher. Other family members include John and Kathy Miller of Broken Arrow, OK, Sharon and Lewis Reynolds of Edmond, OK, George Pierson of Tulsa, OK., and Chris Dykes of Tulsa, Ok. Step grandchildren, Brooke and Taylor Foster of Owasso, OK, with their children, Ember and Brantley. Brittney and Rob Musgrave of Owasso with their children, Cadence, Camden, and Collins as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will miss him greatly.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 10th at Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson, Ar. with Pastor Steve Dixon and Pastor Charlie Foster officiating. All are invited to attend, with current social distancing guidelines and masks requested for all. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lifesourceinternational.org.
