SPRINGDALE — Norbert L. Koch, 69, of Springdale died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Springdale. He was born March 4, 1943, in Hermann, Mo., the son of Harvey Koch and Selma Hagel Koch.

He was a member of the Jaycees in Hermann, Mo., and the American Legion.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He worked as a metal fabricator for many years.

He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Moon; and a brother, Neil Koch.

Sunrivors include his wife of 35 years, Virginia "Jenny" Koch of the home; daughter, Susan Gyaben of Fort Wainwright, Alaska; sons, Randy Moon of Springdale, Martin Moon of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Darlene Faerber of New Florence, Mo.; sister-in-law, Alverna Koch of Hermann, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

The family requests that memorials take the form of donations in his name to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
