SPRINGDALE — Travis D. Spaulding, 79, of Springdale died Dec. 20, 2014, at his home following a six-month battle with lung cancer. He was born March 19, 1935, at Springdale, the son of Reland and Opal Spaulding.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Mayes Spaulding; two sons, Brian Spaulding and Brant Spaulding of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Parker and Anna Spaulding of Springdale, and Sophia Young of Little Rock; and Gwen Fletcher, cousin of California, Mo.
Travis and his parents owned and operated Spaulding Food Market in Springdale for several years. He was a retired poultry and cattle farmer.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel, followed by services Saturday, Dec. 27, 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery
