PRAIRIE GROVE — Patricia Gale Geihl, 69, a resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with her Lord, Aug. 18, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Mesa, Ariz., the daughter of Willard Garl and Cleta Pierce Bartholomew.
Gale was a member of the New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove. She was on the praise team and often sang specials. Her ministry in her church was sending out birthday and anniversary cards, as well as cards of encouragement to the congregation. Gale believed in supporting her church through tithes but also in offerings and missions. She claimed all the change that came into the household and it was put in a container for what she called "Jesus Money." When it was full, it was brought to the church and given to the Lord.
Gale and her parents, Willard and Cleta, her brothers, Rick and Dee, and her sister Barbara sang in churches from here to California while she was growing up. They recorded many songs as a family. Gale's favorite past time was singing praises to her Lord. Gale was a very caring and giving woman. She would give everything she had to someone in need. The only thing she loved more than the love of her life, Rudy, her son, Wayne and his wife, Bobbi, and all the rest of her family, was the Lord.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Dixon; one stepson, Todd Clair Geihl; and one grandson, Bo J. Fagg.
Survivors include her husband, Robert "Rudy" Geihl; one son, Harold Wayne Dexter Jr. and his wife, Bobbi, of Prairie Grove; one stepdaughter, Victoria Marie Geihl of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Rick Bartholomew and Dee Bartholomew, both of Prairie Grove; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Wanda Hinds of Fayetteville, Ark.
Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove.
Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove, with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Officiating will he Dee Bartholomew and Beau Gage.
Pallbearers will be William Geihl, David Dexter, Brad Tagg, Billy Boyd, Shane Pitts, and Dustin Shreve. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Sims, Art Carver, Beau Gage, David Bibby, Zed Dixon and Nolan Dexter.
