Ila G. Bonds, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 19, 2009.

She was born December 22, 1919, in Van Buren County, Arkansas, to the late John Lee Hodge and Allie Williams Hodge Hensley Blount. Ila was the proprietor of Clinton Casuals clothing store for 24 years, including the famous flood of December, 1982, and was one of the first businesses back in operation on the courthouse square. Mrs. Bonds was a member of First Baptist Church, Clinton, and attended Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville when she was able.

Ila and her husband of over 75 years, H. K. Bonds, spent most of their married life in Clinton, Arkansas, before moving to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where they have resided for the last 5 years.

Ila enjoyed traveling, quilting, and gardening. Her beautiful award winning quilts will be cherished by family and friends for years to come.

Ila is survived by her husband, H.K. Bonds, Fayetteville, daughter, Wencie Byrd and her husband, Dr. James Byrd of Dallas, Texas, son, Bob L. Bonds and his wife, Wilma, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a brother Don Hensley and his wife, Dana, of Clinton, Arkansas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, .H. K. Bonds Jr., a sister Ola Bonds and her husband, Troy Bonds, Springfield, Missouri; and an infant granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Byrd.

The family will receive friends at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Clinton, Arkansas, on Wednesday evening, April 22, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.

Services will be at First Baptist Church, Clnton, Arkansas, on Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 A.M.
