Charles W. Simpson, age 66, a resident of Dover, AR, died Sunday, May 7, 2000 at St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center at Little Rock, AR. He was born on June 28, 1933 at Dover, AR, to W.A. 'Dock' and Evelyn Landers Simpson. He married Glenna Standridge Simpson on February 24, 1956 at Dover, AR. He was a poultry farmer & carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a Veteran of Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hatley Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Simpson of Dover; two daughters and sons in law, Liz and Danny Ketcherside of Hot Springs, Susan and Don Dalton of Springdale; three grandchildren, William Aubrey Dalton of Springdale, Amelia and Alexander Dalton of Springdale; sisters and brothers in law, Bonita and F.L. Mosley of Dover, J.W. Standridge, Bill Standridge, Jerry Standridge, Lemuel 'Dick' Standridge; sisters in law, Doris Thomas and Cherryl Morphis; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at the Hatley Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dane Ruff, and assisted by Rev. O. L. Kinsey. Burial will be at the Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
