Joh Bench of Advance, Baxter County, brought his little 9-year-old son to this city Tuesday arriving on the evening train, for the purpose of having an operation performed to remove a cockleburr from the throat of the little fellow. The patient was too weak however, from the fact that the burr had been in his throat since early Saturday morning and he had been taken to several doctors who worked with him in vain, for the physicians here to give him relief and he died at an early hour Wednesday morning. The father returned that morning with the body to his home for burial. - Batesville Record.
Mr. Bench is well known in this county and his many friends extend to him their symathies in his sad bereavement.
