Doris Marie Floyd, 71, of Crossett died Monday, February 19, 2007, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born September 5, 1935, in Sicily Island, LA, she was the widow of Porter Clyde Floyd and a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church. She was the produce manager for Jade's Supermarket and worked for Sharp's Department Store and the Crossett schools.

Survivors are her son, Michael Floyd of Texas; a brother, Joe McDonald of Pine Bluff; one sister, Marcia Doss of Ethel, LA; her mother, Hazel Quimby McDonnell of Crossett; and a grandson, Peyton Floyd of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Asa Joe McDonald.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, in the North Crossett First Baptist Church with Rev. Robin Allen officiating. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Dane Weindorf, Cecil Cossey, Ervin Rodgers, Lamar Hill, Gale Anders, James Ward and Dewey Ward. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Sasser and Buddy Brennon. Arrangements were by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello.
