Sparta V. CURTIS (VETERAN CSA)

Curtis (aka Acklin) Cemetery
Baxter County,
Arkansas

PRIVATE CSA
Company F 2 Regiment Missouri Guards
Civil War Confederate
August 18, 1833 - March 5, 1912

One of the oddities of the Curtis Cemetery is that only three Civil War Veterans are buried there, two buried next to each other. Sparta Van Buren Curtis was from the north and was a Confederate soldier while William Thomas Greer was from the South and was a Union soldier.
