SPIUNGDALE — Ruby B. Griffith, age 99, of Springdale, Ark. formerly of Joplin, Mo., passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice facility in Springdale, Ark. She was born Nov. 26, 1911, in Marble, Ark., to William and Martha (Rhodes) Long.
Ruby was self-employed as a housekeeper. She married Robert Griffith in 1927 in Benton County, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1963.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Griffith and wife, Mattie, of Springdale, Cyril Griffith and wife, Sharon, of Springdale, and Richard Griffith and wife, Yolonda, of Seguin, Texas; to daughters, Linda Griffith of Springdale and Shirley Collins of Carthage, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and David Griffith; one daughter, Bonnie Griffith; five brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside services will he Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Bluff Cemetery, Springdale, Ark.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
