RIVERTON, Kan. — Ruben Howard Ransom, 79, of Riverton died July 6, 2008, in Riverton. He was born May 22, 1929, to W.K. "Doc" and Bertha Audrey Boles Ransom.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was a farmer in the Gentry area until moving to Kansas in the late 1980s. He attended the Assembly of God in Riverton.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Easley Harper Ransom of Riverton; two sons, Michael Ransom and wife Sherry and Randy Ransom and wife Debbie, all of Gentry; two daughters, Cindy Godin and husband Richard of Gentry and Debra Ann Wilkens and husband Brian of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Danny Harper of Riverton and Ron Harper of Willis, Texas; a stepdaughter, Teresa Klopping of Hot Springs; six stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at wassonfuneralhome.com. Bob Meyer will officiate.
