WILLIAMS, Martha E. FORD Moore - Mrs. Martha E. Williams, nee Ford, was born in middle Tennessee in 1838. She was married in April 1850 to J.T. Moore and two children were born to this union but died in infancy. Her husband died during the Civil War at Fort Smith, Ark. She was married again April 16, 1865 to T.D. Williams and to this union were born five children, one of whom died in infancy. She is survived by two brothers, W.J. Ford of Garfield, Ark. and J.H. Ford of Bells, Texas; also the following children: W.H. and T.J. Williams of Zena, Okla.; R.M. Williams of Hobart, Okla. and G.W. Williams of Garfield, Ark., with whom she has made her home for the last twelve years. She has been an invalid for a number of years and has been confined to her bed a great part of the time for the past five years. She professed a hope in Christ while young and united first with the M.E. church south when about 13 years of age. Afterwards at the age of 36 years she united with the Primitive Baptist church of which she remained a faithful member until her death. She was always devoted to her church and was faithful to attend its ordinances. Her funeral was conducted at the home of her son, G.W. Williams, by Rev. Spencer of Zena, Okla., after which she was laid to rest in the Snodderly cemetery. Her life work is finished and we would not call her back. She has filled her mission and has gone to her reward.
