Orville L. Newkirk 84 of Greenbrier died Thursday (Dec. 30, 2004). He was born March 31, 1920 to the late Ed and Edna Kilgore Newkirk. He was a farmer, an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of Needs Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Don Newkirk of Greenbrier, two daughters, Jo Ann Walloch of Cabot and Linda Ballard of South Carolina, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller McNutt Funeral Home Greenbrier with burial in Cadron Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Chris Edward, Charles Taylor, Stacy Gibson, Mike May, Darrell Hall and Rick Havens. Arrangements by Roller-McNutt Greenbrier.
