James N. 'Jim' Prnell, 50, of Jordan died Saturday (May 16, 1992) at his residence.
Services were held at 2PM Tuesday at the Old Galatia Church with Rev. Dale Chapman officiating. Burial was at the Galatia Cemetery.
Mr. Parnell, a lifetime area native, was born at Norfork on Nov 23, 1941. He worked as a vegatation controller for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. He married the former Gayla Harrington on Sep 12, 1986, at Melbourne and was of the Prostestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Gayla of the home; two sons, James Earl Parnell of Jordan and Gerald Dwayne Parnell of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter Eshelle Brakebill of Mt. Home; his father, Ralph James Parnell of Jordan; three sisters, Ellen Lawson of Tulsa, Ok, Deloris Duggins of Gassville and Mable Greer of Mt. Home; five granchildren; his stemother Dorothy Parnell of Jordan; a stepsister Rose May Bowen of Newport; and several nieces and nephews. His mother, Margaret Bell Moore Parnell, preceded him in death.
