J.D. Gray, 73, of Mt. Home died Monday (Nov 9, 1992) at his home.
Services will be at 1PM Thrusday at the Kirby Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Goodall officiating. Burial will be at the Galatia Cemetery, with Masonic graveside services by Adams Lodge No. 164 Free and Accepted Masons of Norfork.
Visitation will be at the Kirby Funeral Home from 5 to 8PM today, with the family present from 6 to 8PM.
A Protestant, Mr. Gray was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 615 at Lincoln. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
A boilermaker of 32 years, he was born May 16, 1919, at Norfork, son of Nettie and Joseph D. Gray. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa L. Gray of the home; four sons, Jay Doyl Gray of Turbeville, SC, Jerry H. Gray, Kenneth W. Gray and Donald F. Gray, all of Mt. Home; seven daughters, Mary Jo Layton of Yellville, Betty J. Hamilton of Mt. Home, Doris J. Merrill, of Mt. Home, Wilma D Gillam of Tupelo, MS, Patricia L. Sanders of Mt. Home, Kathy G. Christian of Mt. Home and Debbie L. Callatine of Flippin; a brother, Paul E. Gray of De Sota, KS; and five sisters, Lorene Emma Jane Grigg of Norfork, Della May Sanders of Calico Rock, Elwana Betty R. Loosey of Calico Rock, Eva Bell Lovett of Amarillo, TX and Opal Maxine Woods of Norfork.
He also is survived by 25 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Layton, Kirk Layton, John Dale Gray, Scotty Melton and Wayne Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Gray, Travis Gray, Randall Layton and Mike Hamilton.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral Directors.
