David Wesley Brinkley, 80, of Gravette went to be with the Lord March 30, 2013, born August 19, 1932 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to William & Iva "Townsley" Brinkley.
David was a Korean War Veteran was Honorably Discharged at the rank of CPL. He was retired from the California Carpenters Union. His hobby was working on old cars & tractors. He married Mona Fern Stidham on April 24, 1952 in Clovis, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Emma Jean Brinkley.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, 2 daughters; Fern Laqueda Roquemore and husband John 'Bud' of Gravette, Arkasnas, Freda Lynn Willingham and husband Charles of Springdale, Arkansas, and 3 sons; David Dwayne Brinkley and wife Rhonda and William Brinkley of Bella Vista, Ronald Lee Brinkley and wife Katie of Rogers, Arkansas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Duncan Brinkley and wife of Oregon.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Georgia (Flat) Cemetery west of Gravette with Rev. Deborah Francis officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
