Clarence Rosson, of Mt. Home died Saturday at Baxter General Hospital. A retired timber worker, Mr. Rosson had resided in Baxter County for the past 50 years. He was born May 11, 1880, at Hot Springs, the son of Peter Rosson and Elizabeth Lane Rosson. On Nov 6, 1908 he was married at Mt. Ida to Mennie Lane, who preceded him in deat six years ago. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Mt. Home.
Survivors include two sons, Leon Rosson and Raymond Rosson, both of Mt. Home; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Middelton of Mt. Home and Mrs. Cora Lucy of Jonesboro; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two great great gradchildren; and seveal nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2PM yesterday at the Galatia Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Bryant, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemtery. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Russell Willett, J.D. Gray, John Chapman, Cecil Sutterfield, Benny Rorie and Bill Hall. Honorary pallbearers were David Sutterfield, Roy Woods and J.T. Ginn.
