Edward Lee "Lesy" Golden, 70, of Crossett died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at his second home in Rayville, LA. He had lived for 20 years in New Orleans, LA, was a retired electrician, a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Rayville, and a former member of First Baptist Church in Crossett. Mr. Golden was an United States Air Force veteran, an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing and was a big fan of NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife of 2 1/2 years, Jerry Boone-Golden; one son, Edward Golden, Jr., and wife Tina of Crossett; one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" and husband Dale Densmore of Cabot; two brothers, Johnny Golden and wife Bobbie of Crossett and Jimmy Golden and wife Judy of Houston, TX; and five grandchildren, Mark Wallace, Ricky Densmore, Ron Burchell, Landon, and Chase Golden. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Kathy Dasch-Golden; his parents, Clyde and Malvia Woods-Golden; and one sister, Clydean Carden.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Cromwell Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Charles Pullin officiating. Pallbearers were Brent Stokes, Tommy Hooks, Shawn Densmore, Kenny Shanks, Tristan Shanks, and David Stephenson. Honorary pallbearer was Dee Smith. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72207 or the American Lung Association, 217 W. Second St., Ste. 105, Little Rock, AR 72201. Burial was in Snyder Cemetery.
