Mr Lonnie Ail Smith, 82, of Gans, OK, formerly of Natural Dam, AR died Monday, August 23, 2010 in a local nursing home.
He was a retired Mason, doing brickwork for the Department of the Interior, was a representative for the National Parks Service in Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alene.
Memorial service was 2 pm Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren.
Mr. Smith was cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter Terrie Estes, of Gans, OK, a brother Joe Smith of Van Buren, AR, 2 grandchildren; Micah Gentry and his wife Tiffany of Fort Smith, AR, Rachel Ray and her husband Ryan of Fort Smith, AR, and six great-grandchildren; Racquel, Meghan, Brooklyn, Adison, Micah, and Morgan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
