STEINBRENNER, Hazel - Miss Hazel Steinbrenner, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Steinbrenner, died at 7:30 Tuesday morning at the home of her parents on West Walnut street. She had been in a critical condition for a week or more and while there had been but little chance for her recovery, the fact that she made such a hard fight for life inspired the family and friends with a hope that she might get well. Death was the result of fever, complicated with uremic poisoning. Miss Steinbrenner was just entering upon womanhood, she was twenty-one years old and had before her the promise of a happy and useful life. She was especially active in the work of the First M.E. church, of which she had long been a member. She was president of her Sunday school class, took an active interest in the League work and frequently acted as substitute for her mother in the latter's Sunday school class. Especially was she a favorite with the younger people although held in close ties of friendship by all who knew her. Her death is a great loss to the church and the large circle of neighbors and friends. Funeral services are being held at the First M.E. church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor E.M. Dugger. Interment in the Rogers cemetery.
