Victor Charles Place, 65, of Colcord, Okla., died Dec. 31, 1992, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville.

He was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Delaware County, Okla., to Henry and Bonnie Kirby Place. He was a lifetime area resident, he was a farmer, a mechanic and was employed at Bear Brand Hosiery. He was a member of Church of Christ, Eastgate and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Place; his mother, Bonnie Place of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Kenneth Place of Colcord, Clint "Buster" Place of Grants Pass, Ore.; five sisters, Daisy Garlinghouse of Fortuna, Calif., Betty Davidson, Norma Jean Lucas and Sue Jones, all of Siloam Springs, and Judy Jones of Van Buren.

Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. today at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Charles Cash and Larry Ellis officiating. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
