OSBORN, David H. - D.H. Osborn, a well known farmer living six miles east of Bentonville, died at his home early Tuesday at the age of 47. He was born near his late home. Besides a wife and five daughters he leaves his mother, Mrs. Lucy Myers of Washington county, two sisters, Mrs. J.N. Damron of Centerton and Mrs. J.I. Lovelace, living east of Bentonville and a brother, W.L. Osborn, who lives at Thomas, Okla. Funeral services were held Wednesday and interment was made in the Rogers cemetery. Mr. Osborn carried $3,000 in life insurance.

David H. Osborne was born near Rogers, Ark. March 13, 1873. On December 24, 1899 he was married to Miss Ida Miller. To this union five children born: Madge, Bertha, Leota, Lucy and Ruth. Three years after marriage Mr. and Mrs. Osborne moved to their home on the Pea Ridge and Rogers road where they have lived for 17 years. Mr. Osborne was a useful citizen and a faithful church member. He was deacon in the Pleasant Hill Baptist church and had the respect and confidence of all who knew him. He suffered from anemic poisoning of the lymphatic glands for several months which caused his death March 16, 1920. The deceased leaves a wife, five daughters, his mother, Mrs. Lucy A. Myers of Wheeler, Ark., one brother, W.L. Osborne of Thomas, Okla. and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Damron of Centerton and Mrs. John Lovelace of Rogers. All were present at the time of his death except his brother, who came to attend the funeral. The funeral was conducted at the home by Rev. A.J. Deason who has been for many years a pastor and a personal friend of the family. He was assisted by Rev. C.C. Cunningham of Rogers. The Modern Woodmen had charge of the services at the grave. The body was laid to rest in the family lot in the city cemetery at Rogers.
