Darrell Edward “Cotton” Morris, 83, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Batesville.
Born Aug. 30, 1926, in Afton, Texas, he was the son of Charlie and Bessie Morris.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Edward Morris of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Tammy England of Batesville and Cheryl Jack of Coweta, Okla.; two brothers, Bo Morris and Bob Morris, both of Melbourne; two sisters, Winona McGraw of Blooming Grove, Texas, and Judy Lawrence of Ellensburg, Wash.; six grandchildren, Jeremy Morris and Justin Morris, both of Brownsville, Texas, Fawn Croslin of Killeen, Texas, Micah Deltoro of Stillwater, Okla., Nakeysha Lawson of Searcy and Amber Polston of Batesville; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don Morris and Jim Morris; and two sisters, Veda Lee Murchison and Faye Salazar.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Ralph Wallis officiating. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery.
