Carroll Vance Morgan, age 81, of Warren, Arkansas died Friday, October 21, at John R. Wiliamson Hospice House, El Dorado. He was born August 20, 1930 in Bradley County, Arkansas a son of the late G. W. Morgan and Lena Gardner Morgan. He was a graduate of Banks Public School System, a 1953 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a BS in physical education and a 1962 graduate the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a masters in education with specialist attached.. He was a retired Superintendent of the Hermitage Public School System and a life long educator with 34 years of service. He was a member and Sunday school teacher of First Baptist Church. He was former president of Bradley County Retired Teachers Association, former member of the Gideon's, former president and member of the Warren Lions Club and president of the Bradley County Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Surviving is his wife Sybil Frances Dawkins Morgan whom he married on September 5, 1952; 1 son David Morgan and wife Linda, Warren, Ark; 1 daughter Dr. Alisa Hopper, DDS and husband Terry, Monticello, Ark; 1 brother Felton Morgan, El Dorado, Ark; 3 grandchildren Jordan Lee Hopper, Austin Clay Hopper and Morgan Elizabeth Hopper all of Monticello, Ark. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers Neal Morgan, George D. Morgan, Louin Morgan and Ott Morgan ans a sister Averice Brumley. Funeral services 2:00pm Sunday, October 23, at First Baptist Church. Burial in Oakland Cemetery at Warren. Visitation 6:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, October 22, at Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
