WEST, Robert Francis - Robert Francis West, a well known and old resident of the vicinity of Gravette, died at his home near old Pactolus early Tuesday morning after a long illness. Mr. West was about fifty-five years of age and has lived along the Spavinaw for over forty years. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him. Burial was made in the Word cemetery Wednesday. Besides his mother, Mrs. Mary D. West, he is survived by a widow, Mrs. Mary West, four sons, John West of Bushyhead, Okla. and Ray, Erbie and Otis West, who live on the home place and four daughters, Mrs. Edna Green of Grove; Mrs. Jessie Setser, Ft. Benton, Mont.; Mrs. J.D. Brooks of Maysville and Mrs. Virgie Willert of Skiatook, Okla.

R. Francis West, one of our substantial citizens, died at his home in Eldorado township Tuesday morning, Nov. 15, 1921, aged 55 years and 20 days. Mr. West has resided in this section since a small boy, coming from Pleasant Hill, Mo., where he was born, with his father, the late J.W. West. Francis had been in ill health for some months. Mr. West is survived by eight children: 4 boys and 4 girls, his wife, two brothers, Otis and Will West, and his step-mother. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the home by Rev. A.N. Sanders of the Baptist church of which body Mr. West was a member. The community extends condolence to the bereaved family.
