Camden - July 23 - Archibald Hamilton, aged 70, former stat senator, died at his home here today. He was born in Alabama and came to Arkansas when a young man. He served in the Confederate army, and was a member of the Klu Klux Klan. He was sheriff of Ouachita county from 1890 to 1898, and a member of the House of Representatives two terms. Later he was elected state senator from his district, but resigned during the last session of the legislature on account of ill health. He is survived by his wife and three sons. The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow from the family home by Rev. William Wright.
