ROY J. MARTIN

Roy J. Martin, 71, Gentry, died Nov. 5 in Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1904, at Lake Charles, La., he was the son of Ed T. and Elizabeth Maxwell Martin and a retired employe of Kansas City Southern Railroad. He moved to Gentry from Spiro, Okla., in 1938.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eddie Gladys Allen Martin of the home; four sons, Charlie Martin and Leroy Martin, Rogers, Jimmy Martin, Bentonville, and Orvil Allen Martin, Emporia, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. LaVonne Poindexter, Stilwell, Okla., Mrs. Mary Margaret Brown and Mrs. Laveta McAllister, Bentonville, Mrs. Georgia McGarrah, Springdale, Mrs. Darlene Carnes, Siloam Springs, and Mrs. Josie Mounce, Gentry; three brothers, Harvey Martin, Buddy Martin and Tom Martin, Sallisaw, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Lela Mae England, Mrs. Pluma Hollis and Mrs. Letha Coccerham, Sallisaw, Okla., and Mrs. Junellie Odle of California; 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Gene Mason officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery under the direction of Wasson.
