Pea Ridge Resident Victim of Wreck

SPRINGDALE POLICE have identified the man killed in a car wreck in Springdale Monday as Eddie Harold Kinny, 17, Rt. 1, Pea Ridge.

Police said the fatal accident happened at about 8:48 a.m. on Highway 71 at 264 when Kinny's car turned south on 71 from 264, apparently went out of control on the rain slick pavement and spun into the path of a northbound pickup truck driven by Myri Francis Woodward, 38, Rt. 2, Bentonville. Woodward and a passenger in the pickup, Kenneth Burnett, 23, Bella Vista, were injured in the wreck. They were treated at Springdale Memorial Hospital and released.

Officers had difficulty identifying the victim at first because no driver's license or other identification papers were on the body. Leads to his identity were discovered later when his wallet and automobile ownership papers were found in the wrecked vehicle.

Kinny was born March 15, 1959, at Modesto, Calif., the son, of Donald and Barbara Johnson Kinny.

Survivors include his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Noble Johnson of Pea Ridge with whom he made his home; and two sisters, Mrs. Jenny* Drymon, Rogers, and Mrs. Clara Larson, Gooding, Idaho.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Rays of Faith Pentecostal Church, Rogers, with the Rev. Everett King officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
