George Junior Lewellen
GENTRY — George Junior Lewellen, 76, of Gentry died May 24, 2002 in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 22, 1925, in McDonald Co., Mo., to George and Minnie Arnold Lewellen. He was a lifelong resident of Gentry and was employed as a line employee with Allen Canning Co. for more than 32 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Gayle Lewellen of Gentry; three daughters, Barbara Steel and Kathy Cagle, both of Decatur, and Irene Bales of Gentry; two sons, Charles Lewellen of Wichita, Kan., and George Lewellen Jr, of Gentry; one stepson Dan Pye; three brothers; two sisters; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today with Tony Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery.
