Charles William Cantrell, 75

Charles William Cantrell, son of the late Charles Cantrell and Mamie Faye Hicks Cantrell, was born September 12, 1936 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life July 6, 2012 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 24 days. He was united in marriage to Emmer Vicki Hatfield on October 26, 1957 in Harrison, Missouri and to this union five children were born. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was a construction worker and river guide. While guiding, he developed a close working relationship with the wildlife officers of the Arkansas Game and Fish. He was an ordained minister with Bible Study Ministry.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Emmer Vicki Cantrell of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Charles Lee and Reta Cantrell of Sulphur, Oklahoma; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Cindy Kay Thomas of West Memphis, Arkansas, Renee and Weldon Speirs of Calico Rock and Rebecca Ann and Dennie Burch of Pineville, Arkansas; one brother: Benjermain Cantrell of Calico Rock, four sisters: Jacquliene "C" Vanevera of Yellville, Elsie Faye Harris of Melbourne, Hattie Gaye Cantrell of Rogers and Jane Cocker of Pineville; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; 2 sisters and one son: Ronnie Dale Napier Cantrell.


Pallbearers: Heath Cantrell, Ei Burch, Dalton Brown Cantrell, Brandon Speirs, Junior Speirs, Pete Sutterfield.

Honorary Pallbearers: Shane Brown Cantrell and Levi Burch.
