Alva C. Rogers, 64, of Fayetteville died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Wesley to Luther and Margie Marie Brewer Rogers. He was a boiler operator for the University of Arkansas and a Baptist. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Thomas Rogers; a son, Bobby Rogers of Fayetteville; two daughters, Debbie Lea of Fayetteville and Pamela Napier of Springdale; his father, Luther Rogers of Farmington; a sister, Connie Edwards of Springdale; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Farmington Baptist Church with the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial will be at Drakes Creek Cemetery.
