Arthur Lon McDonald, 48 of Royse City, Texas, formerly of Fordyce, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2007. Although he left this life following a year long battle with Cancer, his spirit will remain with us forever. He was a wonderful man always going out of his way to make sure his family was comfortable, safe, and secure, never thinking of himself, only others. Arthur was born on March 1, 1959 in Texarkana, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Jan McDonald; two daughters, Deanna Lahnan and her husband Pat of Chandler, AZ; Jennifer Bryant and her husband Rob of Fordyce, AR; one grandson Gram Lahnan of Chandler, AZ; four stepdaughters, Carla Phifer and husband Stanley of Farmersville, TX; Marti Wilson and husband Tim of Lone Oak, TX; BeVee Corzine of McKinney, TX; Taffny Watkins of Leonard, TX; and 14 step grandchildren. He is also survived by his parents, Lon and Helen McDonald of Fordyce, AR; one brother, David McDonald of El Dorado, AR; three sisters, Mary Catherine Stewart of Maumelle, AR, Debi Faulk of Eros, LA, Peggy Matthews of Fordyce, AR, and numerous other family and loved ones. Our loss is very painful, but we know his granddaughter Abigail Lahnan greeted him with open arms at Heaven's gate. Family and friends are welcome for visitation form 5-7 PM on Monday, June 11th at Hurst Funeral Home in Farmersville, TX. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, June 12th in the Hurst Funeral Home Chapel, Farmersville, TX. Family and friends are also welcome for visitation from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 12th at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, AR. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 13th at 10 AM in McDonald Cemetery, Ramsey, AR with Bro. Bobby Thornton and Bro. Nathan Petty officiating.
