Harris Funeral Homes, Inc
Johnny A. Byers, age 88, of Perry, passed away, Friday, July 23, 2010. He was born August 2, 1921 in Cobert County, Alabama, a son of Herman Alvin Byers and Minnie Dial Byers. He was a welder and member of Overcup Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sue Davis Byers of Perry; daughters, Johnnie Sue Phillips and Jessie Gay Pantorno both of Alabama; son, Michael Allen Byers of Mississippi; brother, Frank Byers of Arizona; sister, Willie Jean Simpson of Alabama; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Hope Cemetery with Bro. Dusty Day officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home in Perryville. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
