Obituary
"The Monticellonian"
Monticello, Arkansas
Thursday, January 10, 1907
Died. Oct. 22, at Cominto, Ark., Oldry Fay, only daughter of F. O. and Nancy Higgins.
God had blessed their home with this tender life almost four years and saw fit to take her to Himself. His mysteries are deep, and we cannot
see or understand why this affliction was sent on the fond parents, but there are many sweet promises in God's word. "Where our treasures are there will our hearts be, also;" and "I will not leave you
comfortless;" and "Cast all your burdens on me.''
The mother will miss the joyous laugh and the sound of busy footsteps; many a sad tear will fall when she sees the little play things.
The dear child has gone in her purity to God who gave her to the loving mother's arms. Just another beautiful flower plucked from the earthly garden to adorn God's kingdom and to lead mother, father and brothers to a home in Heaven. X
