Lawrence Preston Davis, 52, of Springdale died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.
Born July 27, 1942, at Avoca, a son of Lawrence and Willie M. Dennis Davis, he was retired from RTW in Rogers and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lowell. A past state champion auctioneer, he was a member of the Sugar Creek Riding Club, Northwest Arkansas Bassmasters, the National Auctioneers Association and the Arkansas Auctioneers Association.
Survivors are his wife, Leota M. Davis of the home; his mother of Rogers; a son, Leon Jones of Bentonville; three daughters, Schelley Wilson of Bentonville, Vickie Rowlins of Huntsville and Tammy Cossey of Nob Hill: two brothers, Danny Davis of Rogers and Larry Davis of Arkansas; three sisters, Sharon Lewis, Julia Elliot and Betty Wassman, all of Rogers; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Lowell with the Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Martin Cemetery in Larue.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rollins Funeral Home.
