Britton Amos
Britton Parker Amos, 80, of Rogers died April 28, 1991, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Amos was born Oct 22, 1910, in Mundell to Richard and Susan Jane Schrader Amos.
Amos married Helen Anthony Amos Jan. 27, 1937. Amos had served in the U.S. Army. He was a landscaper, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He moved to this area in 1951, from Eureka Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Amos of the home; three sons, Harold and Robert Amos, both of Rogers, and Denny Amos of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Mary Curnutt and Sharon Searcy, both of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Connie Amos of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Cletus Amos, of Strang, Okla.; two sisters, Dolly Hull and Elsie Eames, both of Eureka Springs; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel by Stephen Hatch. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
