DODSON, Charles E. - C.E. Dodson passed away at his home in the Droke neighborhood November 23, 1932. He was born at Kirksville, Mo. February 25, 1859. He was brought to Benton County by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Dodson in 1866 where he spent the remainder of his life. On July 26th, 1884 Mr. Dodson and Miss Martha E. McClure were married and to this union were born two children, William D. Dodson and Mrs. Stella Harris of Tulsa, Okla. His wife died in 1898 and he was married a second time, Sept. 23, 1905, to Miss Norah Crowell. One son, Hubert C. Dodson, was born to them. His widow, Mrs. Norah Dodson, his three children and four grandchildren, Mrs. Fay Stevens of Pontiac, Mich.; Mrs. John Carr of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Freeman Williams of Sapulpa, Okla. and Charles Harris of St. Louis, who is a member of Co. A., 6th Infantry and stationed at Jefferson Barracks, survive him. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Logan Leib, at whose residence funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.E. White Thursday afternoon, November 24th. Burial was in the Dodson cemetery. He professed faith in Christ in early manhood and lived a consistent Christian life, his belief was with the Primitive Baptists.

Charles E. Dodson, aged 72, who died at his home west of Rogers at 10:20 o'clock Wednesday morning, November 23rd following an illness of several months, was a brother of Mrs. Logan Leib of near Bentonville and funeral services were held at the Leib home southeast of Bentonville near the Droke school on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was in the Dodson family cemetery. Besides his wife and his sister Mr. Dodson is survived by two sons, Hubert and Will Dodson of Rogers; one daughter, Mrs. Stella Harris of Rogers and a number of other relatives.
