BOUCHER, Matilda J. DODSON - Died, September 17th, 1912 at her home in Bentonville, Arkansas, Mrs. Matilda J. Boucher {nee Dodson}, aged fifty-nine years and twenty-eight days. Deceased was born in Kirksville, Missouri August the 19th, 1853. Came with her parents to Benton county while in her girlhood. About forty years ago she professed faith in Christ as her Savior and was received by the writer into the communion of the C.P. church in Bentonville. She was faithful to her church vows, duties and obligations. In the reunion and union of the C.P. and U.S.A. churches she went with the church. December 28th, 1894 she was united in marriage to D.L. Boucher in the city of Sherman, Texas. To this union of mutual happiness was born a son who lived only a few months and was taken into the kingdom and life above. Though frail and weak in body she was strong in christian faith and hope. For many years she was a continual sufferer yet without murmuring or complaining. The funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church by the writer and Rev. W.P. Tidball and the remains were interred in the family cemetery south of the city. Her beloved husband, aged mother, a sister, Mrs. Logan Leib near Bentonville, two brothers, Charles Dodson, near Bentonville and D.B. Dodson in Arizona survive her and have the tender sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. P. Carnahan.
