Lily Grace Fields, age 85, of Crossett, AR passed away on November 29, 2011 at Cherry Ridge Nursing Home. She was born on May 13, 1926 in Pulaski, MS to her parents, Clarence and Terry Lee Fortenberry Roland. Most of her life Mrs. Fields was a housewife and mother and later years worked as a seamstress for Hamburg Shirt Factory for 20 years.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ailene Hamlett and a granddaughter, Robin Cascio.
Her survivors include her husband of 66 years, Edward D. Fields of Crossett, AR; One son, Dean Fields (Debby) of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Wanda Cascio (Charles) of New Iberia, LA; five grandchildren, Joey Cascio, Bryan Fields, Donna McDonald, Michelle Fortier, Crystal Fields Terrell and ten great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed forever by her children and grandchildren, who loved her so much.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Hillis officiating. Interment will follow at Rolfe Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
