William R. Collette, 72, of Dover, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 16, 1939, at Worchester, Massachusetts to Edmond and Mildred Gilbert Collette.
He was a United States Marine Corps. veteran of the Korean War and was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Dorothy Collette.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Esther Collette of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, William R. Jr. and Patricia Collette of Mountainburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Steve Burris of Dardanelle and Sandra and Mickey Carlson of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Barbara Vailliancourt of Massachusetts; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Christopher Rocole officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Holman Cemetery near Lamar under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be William Collette III, Samuel Collette, Charles Casey, Greg Robinson, Lewis Robinson and Mickey Carlson.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
