White River Currant
Joyce Clark of Melbourne, daughter of the late Raymond and Stella Weathers Clark, was born August 27, 1912 in Melbourne. She died October 27, 1995 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was 83.
Miss Clark was a retired school teacher. She taught 13 years in California and 29 years in Arkansas. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and Peabody College in Tennessee. Miss Clark belonged to the Retired Teachers Association and was a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ.
Survivors include two nephews, James Clark of Springfield, Missouri; and David Clark of Pine Bluff; and two nieces, Betty Jo Helm of Melbourne and Linda Doss of Wynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wendell Clark and one sister, Hazel Kelm.
Services were held October 28 at Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Brother Chuck Crow officiating.
Pallbearers were J. W. Helm, David Clark, James Clark, John Twyford, Wayne Doss and Jack Perryman.
Interment was at the Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
