James Oliver Miller, Jr., age 41, a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR passed away Friday, September 25, 2009 at UAMS in Little Rock, AR. He was born on June 24, 1968 in Crossett, AR to his parents, James O. Sr. and Patricia Stell Miller. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and a retired forklift mechanic. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Miller was a member of the First Church of God. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jimmy G. Stell and Wesley Oliver Miller. Survivors include: his parents; his wife, Maranda Poole Miller of Crossett, AR; two sons, James O. Miller III (Trey), Wesley Edward Miller of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Hannah Miller of Cabot, AR; two brothers, Michael Miller (Stephanie) and Stephen Miller, all of Crossett, AR; grandmothers, Barbara Stell Foster and LaFreda Johnson of Hamburg, AR; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2009 at First Church of God with Bro. Karvin Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)
