Myrtle Maxwell Forrest, 95, of Crossett died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at her residence. Born May 10, 1907, to Buford Wallace and Fannie Sue Stinson Maxwell, she was a member of Waller's Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, James W. Smith, Lester F. Forrest, Willard K. Forrest and wife Debbie, Ronna D. Forrest and wife Shirley, and Woodrow W. Forrest and wife Judy, all of Crossett; three daughters, Amaryllis F. Chunn and husband Billy of Mer Rouge, LA, Mary Sue Ferguson and husband Harry, of Crossett and Donna Coronado and husband John of Chatham, LA; one step-daughter, Marjorie Olson of Redding, CA; two brothers, Lester O. Maxwell of St. Francisville, LA and James D. Maxwell of Crossett; one sister, Sue Miller of Crossett; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray B. Forrest; a daughter-in-law, Mary Blanche Smith; one son, Ranzy Wallace Forrest; and five brothers. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Waller's Chapel Methodist Church with Revs. Harold Spillers, Carlton White and Brad Elrod officiating. Burial was at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were Matthew Lochala, Matt Brooks, Steve Thomas, Heath Eppinette, Jason Hendry and Keith Boseman. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren.
